Children's Dentistry Wimbledon

At Wimbledon Dental Wellness, we are dedicated to providing 360-degree care for all our patients, including our youngest patients.

As a practice that promotes and practise preventive dentistry, all our team members know just how important it is to start treating children from an early age. We always recommend parents to first bring their children into the practice when their first tooth appears and certainly before they turn two.

In this way, we hope we can not only set your children on the path to long-term dental wellness but hope to prevent any anxieties or nerves around the dentist and dental care from arising. We are keen to lead by example and feel passionately about encouraging children of all ages to care for their teeth. Oral health can be paramount when it comes to other health issues – for example, tooth decay is one of the most common reasons why children under five need hospital appointments. We want to prevent this from arising at all costs and moreover we want our younger patients to feel happy and confident when they smile.

By meeting and treating our patients from a young age, we will help instil a confidence and comfort in their oral health and treatment. We will also be able to spot any possible issues at an early stage, and hopefully be able to limit any interventions needed as a result of early detection. Whilst most children will only need to see us on a regular basis for check-ups, we can also recommend treatments such as fluoride application and fissure sealants as a preventative measure. We will also be able to spot any orthodontic treatment needs in older children and guide them on their braces treatment journey from there.
